GPT-6 turns ChatGPT answers into interfaces with charts, buttons and forms
OpenAI's Intelligent UI replaces plain text with side-by-side comparisons, interactive charts and small in-chat tools. The source says nothing yet about where the content in those layouts comes from.

OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 in ChatGPT with a feature called "Intelligent UI". Answers now arrive as interactive interfaces with graphics, buttons, charts and forms instead of plain text, according to The Decoder's report.

What shipped
The format adapts to the question. Comparisons appear side by side, and explanations can turn into interactive charts.
Users can have small tools built inside the chat, such as a savings calculator or a game.
GPT-6 Sol goes to paying customers and GPT-6 Luna to free users.
The rollout starts globally today for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users. Free and Go users follow one day later.
The Decoder notes that Google shipped a similar feature to Gemini in May, called "Neural Expressive".
What the source does not say
The report describes the layout. It does not say how ChatGPT chooses the sources behind a chart or a comparison, whether those sources are shown, or how they are cited. Until OpenAI documents that, anything about citation behaviour inside these layouts is inference.
Here is our inference, labelled as such. A side-by-side comparison has a fixed number of columns and rows. A paragraph can mention many brands in passing, but a grid has to fill each cell with something comparable. That points to a slot-count question: the brands with clean, structured specs and prices are the ones that can be placed in a grid at all. Brands whose details sit in vague marketing copy are harder to render and easier to summarise away.
We have not measured this. It is a hypothesis to test as the rollout reaches more users.
The 44 percent figure
OpenAI says GPT-6 can respond while it is still "thinking", and that this cuts wait times by 44 percent. That figure is OpenAI's own claim, and it describes response speed. It does not describe the interface or how sources are used. The Decoder adds that in internal tests GPT-6 scored higher than GPT-5.6 on difficult web searches using this method, without giving scores.
What to do now
Check whether your product and pricing pages state specs, prices and plan differences in plain, consistent fields.
Run your category's comparison prompts in ChatGPT once the rollout reaches your account, and record which brands appear in the rendered grid.
Track whether a mention in running text and a place in a chart turn out to be the same thing.
Frequently asked questions
What is Intelligent UI in ChatGPT?+
It is a GPT-6 feature that presents answers as interactive interfaces with graphics, buttons, charts and forms instead of plain text. The format adapts to the question, and users can also build small tools such as a savings calculator inside the chat.
Who gets GPT-6 and when?+
Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise users get it from the start of the global rollout, with GPT-6 Sol for paying customers. Free and Go users follow one day later and get GPT-6 Luna.
Does the source say how ChatGPT picks sources for charts and comparisons?+
No. The report covers the format of the answers, not source selection or citation inside them. Any view on how brands get placed in these layouts is inference until OpenAI documents it.
Where does the 44 percent figure come from?+
OpenAI. It says responding while still thinking cuts wait times by 44 percent. It is the company's own claim about speed and says nothing about the interface.

DemandSphere and Ahrefs both put the rate above 80% at the end of September. Their figures, as reported, count whether the AI Overview appears. They do not say whether your brand is in it.
